1) Drives truck equipped with auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites : Drives truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water and starts mixer.
2) Drives truck to location for unloading.
3) Moves levers on truck to release concrete down truck chute into wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into area to be poured with concrete.
4) Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck, using water hose and hoe.
A person with this job must be able to safety operate the truck and its auxiliary equipment such as levers, chutes and mixing drums.
When she picks up the materials to be loaded into the mixer, the driver must be able to manipulate the drum under the hoppers that dispense the cement, gravel, sand and water into it.
She has to understand the mixing procedure and adjust the speeds on the mixer accordingly. The driver must know what materials should be in the blend and check the work order to ensure she is picking up the appropriate mixture.
