The Academic Coordinator is responsible for managing teachers to excel and motivating students to achieve their highest potential.
The Coordinator provides instructional and administrative leadership to the teaching staff, oversees the implementation of curriculum, coordinates assessments and monitors student academic performance under the direction of the school principal.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide weekly observation, coaching and mentoring to assigned instructional staff to ensure that teaching is engaging and rigorous and that teachers are creating a warm, structured and responsive school culture.
Review and provide feedback for staff lesson plans and provide weekly feedback to increase teacher effectiveness and promote student engagement.
Coordinate grade level team meetings and / or department meetings to foster a professional learning community.
Support assigned grade levels with implementation of assessment programs (including authorizer, academic assessments, interim and grade level assessments).
Support teachers to create individualized learning plans to meet student needs.
Identify problems in academic performance and recommend and implement solutions in a timely manner.
Conduct ongoing informal evaluation and feedback sessions of instructional staff.
Monitor student performance data to ensure all students meet instructional growth targets in all core subjects. Work with intervention staff to ensure bottom 30% of students in academic or behavior intervention are receiving adequate services and making measureable progress towards closing the gap.
Required Qualifications :
Master degree from an accredited college or university in Curriculum and Instruction or a related area preferred
Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university
Possess a valid teaching certificate for Middle-Secondary grade levels
Minimum of three years teaching experience at Middle-Secondary level
Proven track record of student academic success or significant academic gains
Experience providing coaching / mentoring to teachers around classroom management and instruction
Required Experience :
Minimum 3 years teaching experience at middle / secondary level
Minimum 2 years experience as an Academic Coordinator
Monthly Salary Range :
Competitive TAX FREE Monthly salary between $4500 to $5500 USD depending on qualifications and experience

Gratuity of 1 month basic salary as per Labor Law at end of contract
Contract Period :
2 year contract - renewable
