الرياضROLE SUMMARY : SAR is looking for a driven Operations Control Center Manager to be responsible for the Operations Control Center and includes (but is not limited to) continuous monitoring of network safety and performance, dispatching or trains, use and development of prioritisation and optimisation decision support tools, decision of prioritisation, review and updating network operations rule book, communicate with and give instructions to train drivers, handling of unexpected events or emergency situations, handling of shunting, continuous improvement, documentation of OCC operations, monitoring, evaluating and reporting of network safety and incident performance, development of training requirements and materials, etc.
The Operations Control Center Manager is responsible for all aspects of train service delivery, incident management and industry information provision by leading and developing the Operations Control Center to provide an outstanding service to all railway industry customers and stakeholders.
An ideal candidate will have strong communication skills as this job requires to communicate within internal stakeholders i.
e. Passenger Business Unit, Mineral & Cargo Business Unit, Infrastructure Maintenance and Rolling Stock Maintenance. As well as external such as Public Transport Authority.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES : Manage the leadership and direction of the Operations Control Center acting as a role model and mentor, implementing SAR policies professionally and efficiently.
During incidents with significant business operational impact assume the role of Rail Incident Commander.Manage and deliver the competency assessment processes.
Lead the development and delivery of all aspects of the short term operational strategy from within the Operations Control Center.
Lead the Operations Control Center in keeping a daily record for all notable operational, safety and infrastructure events using the available systems in accordance with the relevant company standards and instructions.
Lead incident reviews giving appropriate consideration establish systems to monitor and review the implementation of recommendations and the effect of future performance.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of up to date operational and safety policies and procedures, relating to train service delivery, control of operations and control personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Educated to degree level or matching experience.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
Experience in front line rail traffic management.Experience in Operations Control Center management with a focus on continuous improvement of network safety and performance.
Experience in the management of signalling and OCC staff controlling high traffic density areas.Managing Opex budget for Operations Control Centers.
Experienced in the management of staff competencies and training.Implementing operational compliance management to relevant safety and group railway standards.
Provision of functional support, guidance and professional expertise on railway operations matters.Incident management and investigations into operational and performance incidents.
Expert on rail operations, rail operating strategies and traffic management technology.Understanding of operational rules and regulations.
and develop up to date operational and safety policies and procedures, relating to train service delivery, control of operations and control personnel.
COMPETENCIES : Membership of a professional body; and qualified Rail Incident Officer (RIO) and Rail Incident Commander (RIC).
