Core Responsibilities :

The MSL should at least spend % of their time externally of which % of the time should be spent with Key external experts.

Provide product and disease area information to external customers. This need is met primarily through direct scientific interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs), including data presentations and responding to enquiries.

The MSL is the field-based scientific expert in the assigned TA, clinical practice and competitor landscape. Through his / her expertise and external interactions he / she will develop insights which will assist in the development and execution of innovative Medical Affairs strategies and plans.

The activities of the MSL must at all times reflect the medical nature of the role (Scientific, balanced, evidence-based, fair and non-promotional).

MSL must ensure full compliance with Amryt Code, SOPs and local laws & regulations for all medical and promotional activities.

MSL to manage in-market activities in the assigned TA(s) in coordination with the Medical Director in the following fields of responsibility :

  • Implement the strategic directions and all field-based medical activities required for successful commercialization of the assigned.
  • portfolio within the KSA market aiming to achieve company objectives.
  • Support the implementation of the Product Portfolio Clinical Trials program, Pharmacovigilance and Medical Affairs activities.
  • Provide the necessary support to Marketing and Sales departments and other internal stakeholders for the Product Portfolio.
  • Establish Amryt as a key player in the assigned TA(s) and enhance the scientific image of Amryt among Healthcare Professionals and key external experts.
  • To support governing the ethical practices of all medical activities in the assigned TA(s) with the aim to foster the ethical and scientific image of Amryt as a leading pharmaceutical company
  • Internal stakeholders :

  • Work with colleagues in Medical and commercial teams to identify the External Experts, professional groups, decision makers and other key stakeholders are in their assigned TA and / or geography.
  • Together with Medical and commercial colleagues, construct and implement effective Medical Affairs planning in the business review plans
  • Prepare and conduct Scientific training to the Amryt employees and distributors regarding Amryt products

  • MA upholds Amryt’s commitment to the values of patient focus, transparency and integrity in all interaction and exchange of information between Amryt and external communities
  • KEEs Interactions

  • Serve as a scientific, clinical, and medical content expert
  • Conducts peer-to-peer, robust scientific dialogue with external experts (eg. HCPs, Payer, Patient groups), to generate insights and secure advice that help Amryt’s addressing unmet medical needs for the ultimate benefit of patients.
  • Represents Management during field interactions with HCPs and support key opinion leader and advocate relationship development and maintenance within the country
  • Conducts individual ( : type) discussions and meetings with Amryt contracted clinical study investigators, steering committee members, advisory board members, consultants etc.
  • on topics related to the work being conducted with Amryt.

  • Support Pharmacovigilance within organization by ensuring safety reporting responsibilities are met by self and guiding relevant teams he / she work with
  • Delivers scientific presentation to formulary committees as applicable locally.
  • Facilitates, presents at, or otherwise participates in Amryt-sponsored Advisory Boards where appropriate and in full alignment with operating practices.
  • Drives unwavering compliant work practices
  • MSL may attend scientific meetings to gather information on recent data being presented on products and disease states of interest to Amryt.
  • Support the Evidence Generation activities in the country as applicable, including providing relevant medical expert TA input, supporting study conduct and / or participating in the relevant publications in the relevant therapy area to address evidence gap that supports the proper use of Amryt medicines in the country.
  • The MSL brings value, protects Amryt reputation, and builds trust by providing scientifically accurate, fair-balanced, on-label information, regarding the safety and efficacy of Amryt products and off-label information in response to unsolicited questions.
  • Medical Information :

  • Responds in a timely and accurate manner, to unsolicited requests for on or off - label information or safety concerns from HCPs in verbal, written or presentation forms in : or group setting.
  • Medical Governance :

  • Acts as a medical governance champion within the medical & commercial teams he / she works with ensuring full awareness and implementation of relevant SOPs in all activities while continuing to have can-do approach that facilitates and supports Amryt to increase its scientific share of voice and deliver effective engagements that address identified medical and educational needs to best serve our patients and HCPs
  • Keep regular update and operate within the relevant Codes of Conduct, and SOPs

  • Anticipates the changing healthcare, regulatory & competitive environment throughout the product lifespan; delivers innovative strategies to inform evidence-based prescribing / usage within this environment e.
  • g. new comparator or real-world efficacy data.

  • Understands the impact of new data on the value / positioning of products in guidelines / formularies.
  • Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills :

  • Medical Degree or Pharmacy / Science degree with PhD degree is preferred.
  • years experience in the medical affairs within Pharmaceutical Industry or extensive comparable clinical experience in the relevant therapy area is a pre-requisite.
  • Demonstrable experience and success in MSL organizations
  • Medical expert knowledge in Rare diseases area is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, with high ability to effectively deliver messages & successfully establish relations with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in the preparation & delivery of effective scientific presentations with good public speaking skills (speaking at scientific educational events, congresses;)
  • o Ability to analyse, represent and discuss scientific data in the therapeutic area with external and internal partners

  • High level of discipline, ability to organize the activity and to reasonably use the working time within the established independence limits;
  • Developed skills in business planning, business orientation and working under the dynamically changing conditions
  • Understanding of Pharmaceutical ethics and governance; and a clear understanding of pharmaceutical compliance policies and procedures
  • Basic financial and budget management
  • Prior experience with commercial product launches
  • Prior experience with commercial and / or government payers
