Responsible for the brand image and positioning of the organisation.
Represent the organisation externally in marketing related matters. Lead the marketing function.
Oversee the execution of the organisation's marketing strategy and provide guidance and instructions to senior management.
Monitor the performance of the marketing function and its staff, ensuring sufficient training, addressing process and performance deficiencies and reporting on performance to the CEO.
Oversee the development of the function's budget and ensure it is adhered to.
Report and explain any deviations. Drive increase customer and market penetration though effective marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Oversee collection and feeding of marketing intelligence to sales and other teams. Develop marketing strategies, objectives and plans in line with the organisation's overall strategy and objectives.
